From operating infrastructure to shaping architecture

I started in IT support, networks and server operations. That work included Windows and Linux environments, Cisco networking, VMware ESXi, monitoring, backups and the practical work of keeping services available.

Application development became another part of that responsibility: building tools for the people operating those systems, then working across web, mobile and the services behind them. At FFAUG LTD, I combined a co-founder’s role with leading development of a low-code mobile application platform.

My later work at Webloo brought together cloud architecture, distributed applications, infrastructure automation and engineering-team leadership. My professional experience also includes a Senior Staff Engineer & Solutions Architect role with duPont REGISTRY Group.

The scope I work across

I’ve led design and implementation across AWS, Azure and GCP; delivery automation with Jenkins, GitHub Actions and GitLab CI; and infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible.

On the application side, my work includes React, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, GraphQL and REST interfaces, alongside message queues, notification systems and real-time features. Security and observability are part of the same scope: IAM, secrets management, metrics and distributed tracing.

The relationship between these areas matters to me. Application boundaries affect deployment; identity and networking affect integration; and an operating team needs enough context to investigate what happens after a release.

Education and continued learning

I completed a Professional Master’s in Engineering Design and Application Development at Université Hassan 1er de Settat (2019–2021), following a Professional Bachelor’s in the same field (2017–2018). My earlier training was in networking at ISTA NTIC Hay Riad, Rabat.

My profile also records learning in Google Cloud AI infrastructure, Redis operations, and application development with microservices and serverless systems.

AI advisory and legacy integration

I advise teams on where AI can help, how to connect it to existing applications, and how to evaluate it before a wider rollout. For agentic systems, that includes tool permissions, human approval, failure handling and ongoing review. My approach starts with the current architecture, data access and operating constraints. It combines incremental modernisation with access controls, useful evaluation criteria and guidance for the team.

What I’m exploring now

AI infrastructure, model hosting and long-term memory systems are areas of exploration. Computing history, mathematics and technical storytelling connect to that work through AgentixBrain Academy.
